We must remember that within the context of the Bible we should descern whether the preaching of Priests and Prophets are pure. When a prophecy is interpreted erroneously, it can be misleading. Whether the interpreter of the prophecy does this intentionally or because of ignorance, he/she misleads those that is addressed.

Jer 23:16 Don’t listen to the lies of these false prophets, you people of Judah! The message they preach is something they imagined; it did not come from me, the LORD All-Powerful.
Lam 2:13
Lam 2:14
Lam 2:15
Zion, how can I comfort you? How great is your pain? Lovely city of Jerusalem, how can I heal your wounds, gaping as wide as the sea?
Your prophets deceived you with false visions and lying messages— they should have warned you to leave your sins and be saved from disaster.
Those who pass by shake their heads and sneer as they make fun and shout, “What a lovely city you were, the happiest on earth, but look at you now!”
Eze 13:8 So I am going to punish those lying prophets for deceiving the people of Israel with false messages.
Amo 2:4 The LORD said: I will punish Judah for countless crimes, and I won’t change my mind. They have rejected my teachings and refused to obey me. They were led astray by the same false gods their ancestors worshiped.

2Co 11:13 Anyway, they are no more than false apostles and dishonest workers. They only pretend to be apostles of Christ.
2Co 11:14 And it is no wonder. Even Satan tries to make himself look like an angel of light.
1Ti 4:1 God’s Spirit clearly says that in the last days many people will turn from their faith. They will be fooled by evil spirits and by teachings that come from demons.
1Ti 4:2 They will also be fooled by the false claims of liars whose consciences have lost all feeling.
Rev 2:2 I know everything you have done, including your hard work and how you have endured. I
know you won’t put up with anyone who is evil. When some people pretended to be apostles, you tested them and found out that they were liars.
Rev 2:9  I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them who say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan.
